Exams & Diagnostics
Together, we'll take the first steps towards improving your pet's eye health. We'll begin with a thorough eye examination and baseline diagnostics to determine the best course of treatment.
Comprehensive Eye Exams
We perform a comprehensive eye examination using specialized equipment, similar to human eye exams. After the eye exam, Dr. Boyd will provide a clear diagnosis and personalized treatment plan, thoughtfully answering your questions. To ensure seamless home care, we provide detailed printed instructions and necessary medications from our in-house pharmacy. If surgery is required, we offer a clear estimate and schedule the procedure, providing you with peace of mind knowing your pet is in expert hands.
Ocular Diagnostics
During each visit, Dr. Boyd will discuss the diagnostics performed, ensuring you understand each step of your pet's care. If further or more specialized diagnostics are needed, Dr. Boyd will explain the necessity and available options, along with providing a clear, detailed estimate. We strive to provide prompt results, and many of these diagnostics can be completed during your visit, providing you with immediate results and answers. These diagnostics include:
Baseline Diagnostics
- Schirmer tear testing (STT)
- Fluorescein staining
- Tonometry (IOP)
Advanced Diagnostics
- Ocular cytology
- Ocular culture
- Gonioscopy
- Electroretinography (ERG)
- Ocular ultrasonography
Other Diagnostics
